Anaerobic Digester Cleaning Project

The City of Benicia is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to clean two anaerobic digesters at the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). Information regarding the site and digester specifications are included in the Scope section of this RFP. All work activities require coordination between the contractor and WWTP staff, including assessing and approving work plans, safety protocols, atmospheric monitoring, confined space entries, etc. The City will be responsible to isolate the digesters, implement equipment lock out tag, vent all residual gasses, and remove/replace all access hatches. City will provide water and electric power to the contractor as needed.
