Description
General work description: The City desires to contract with an outside firm or individual to perform building inspection duties, provide onsite or remote plan check services, and counter staff to issue permits and route plans on an as-needed basis. The selected organization/persons will provide the full range of building inspection, plan checking and permit issuance services. Construction in the City of Monterey includes, but is not limited to residential, commercial, office (general and medical) and mixed-use. The Building Inspector and Plans Examiner should have knowledge of all required codes and accessibility requirements.
