WTP High Service Manifold Repair/Replacement/Vault Installation - Assessment and Design Phase

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE The City of West Sacramento is soliciting proposals (RFP) from qualified firms or individuals ("Proposer") to provide Assessment and Design Engineering services for the High Service Pump Station located at the George Kristoff Water Treatment Plant, 400 North Harbor Blvd, West Sacramento CA 95605. The scope of work includes; 1. Design of a Vault: The WTP desires a vault to provide operators a clear view and access to the mechanical assembly of its High Service Pump Station housing 16 pumps and valves. This will help operators and contractors perform maintenance, replacement of parts and diagnosis of the assembly. The vault is expected to be open and meet standard access, security and safety requirement including lighting, stairway, guard rail and sump and process drain to remove ground water. 2. Design of Flow Meter Vault to accommodate a water meter and associated piping. The consultant is asked to provide recommendations for possible solutions and provide the most reasonable design of the vaults for the WTP needs. A bid package will be required to be completed along with the cost estimate for each design, and specifications of the vaults. Building permits, environmental and all associated permits, compliance standards and USA are required for this project. More details on the City's needs for this work are provided in the Scope of Work . Each qualified Proposer is to submit a proposal in conformity with the terms of this Request for Proposal ("RFP") by the deadline below ("Proposal"). The Proposer selected by the City pursuant to the terms of this RFP and the City's contracting procedures, if any is selected, is referred to herein as "Contractor."
