Transportation and Recycling of Obsolete Electronic Equipment

Leon County is seeking the services of a qualified vendor for the transportation of palletized obsolete electronic devices from the Leon County Solid Waste Management Facility or other locations as specified by the County, to the contractor’s facility where the devices will be: Prepared for reuse and sold or donated to appropriate end users. OR Demanufactured as required to recycle as many of the components as are economically practical and provide appropriate disposal of non-recyclable components. In particular, due to their leachable lead content, cathode ray tubes (CRTs) must be reused, recycled, or disposed of as hazardous waste. The County will consider submittals only from vendors who have an e‐Steward and/or R2 certification . All bidders shall provide valid evidence of e‐Steward and/or R2 certification.
