Major Events Production

The City of Hollywood is seeking proposals from qualified concert/special event promotional firms or other qualified groups and professionals (Producer) to provide a series of concerts and/ or major special events within the City of Hollywood’s ArtsPark at Young Circle located at Hollywood Boulevard and US 1 in Hollywood, Florida. The existing facility consists of a circular park with an amphitheater, a visual art building with studio space, gallery and wooden floor studio as well as various fountains, plazas, play pieces and passive areas with sculpture pieces. The site is in an urban setting at the center of a major metropolitan area of South Florida. It is the philosophy, intent, and expectation of the City of Hollywood to provide a quality concert, event, performing arts environment for the citizens and visitors to Hollywood. The amphitheater has a lawn seating capacity of approximately 2500 to 3000 with an approximate capacity of the entire park of 6500. A front of stage apron can accommodate approximately 250 to 300 of the anticipated capacity in various configurations. The stage is 60’ x 40’ with 20’ x 20’ wings. The stage is covered with a permanent roof with the capability to hang rigging for sound, lights, and light theatrical staging at a height of approximately 30 feet. Dressing rooms, minor storage, loading and limited backstage parking along with public restrooms are part of the amphitheater. Permanent fencing is scheduled to be installed allowing the promoter to host gated events within the amphitheater and plaza areas. The City’s expectations are that the ArtsPark programs be operated at the highest of industry standards from the management of the operations to the level and quality of the events presented. These high standards can only be met through a professional management team that has the necessary staffing, training and experience to provide these services on behalf of the City of Hollywood. The Producer will procure all talent and services necessary to maximize exposure, use and revenue generating potential of the ArtsPark. The intent of the Request for Proposals (RFP) process is to award a contract to plan, promote and execute a series of concerts and events within the City of Hollywood’s ArtsPark. Under such contract, the successful company will be responsible for coordinating dates and operational plans with City staff, contracting for talent, vendors and other applicable services, promotion of the events and execution of the event to include ticket sales, event settlement with outside parties and other related activities.
