The Palm Springs Unified School District ("District") is looking for qualified firms and individuals specializing in proprietary application services for the following material-science based innovations: Solid Earth (soil-based polymerized waterproof non-expansive concrete); non-toxic hydrophobic exterior-grade IR/UV-reflective surface coatings for metal, stucco, concrete, and asphalt; hydrophobic reduced-expansion/contraction 5000-psi pozzolanic concrete, highly-polymerized crumb-rubber infused hot-mix A/C, and pozzolanic Solid-Earth-based recycled cold-mix A/C. These innovations and solutions are essential for improving infrastructure resilience, useful-life extension, and play a key role in addressing the district’s climate-related challenges, extreme temperature fluctuations, and soil type compaction inconsistencies.
