(1) Vendor needs to provide legal services to the government authority located in Rockledge, FL.• provide a full range of legal services, including statutory interpretation, administrative and judicial representation, fiduciary compliance, legislative drafting, disability and agency support, and ongoing day–to–day advisory services• The Plan Attorney will be responsible for providing a full range of legal services necessary for the effective governance and administration of the Plan.• This includes interpreting statutory and ordinance provisions; advising on fiduciary responsibilities, the Florida Sunshine Law, the Public Records Act, and continuing education requirements; reviewing administrative procedures; and ensuring ongoing compliance with Chapter 185, Chapter 112, and the Internal Revenue Code.• Administrative & Judicial Representation: Counsel will represent the Board in administrative proceedings, including disability hearings, benefit appeals, and other matters requiring formal findings of fact and conclusions of law• Legislative & Regulatory Monitoring: Counsel will monitor legislative developments at the state and federal levels that may affect the Plan, including proposed amendments to Chapter 185, changes to IRS regulations and revenue procedures, and other developments affecting Florida public pension plans(2) The contract period will be for three years.
