Non-Exclusive Licensed Use of Office Space at 1705 N. Howard Avenue by Non-Profit Organization

Description

The City of Tampa owns certain real property located at 1705 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33607 (the “License Premises”) which is the subject property of this RFP. The 2,600-square-foot facility currently serves as an office for a non-profit organization and includes two offices, a merchandise room, a conference room, fitting rooms, and a storage room. The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to identify and select a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to license the designated City-owned premises on a non-exclusive basis. The selected organization will utilize the space to provide direct services to low-income residents of the greater Tampa community through both walk-in and appointment-based assistance. The City seeks a non-profit partner whose mission aligns with community needs and enhances access to critical services for underserved populations. The License and Hold Harmless Agreement (the “License Agreement”), prepared by the City, by and between the City and the successful proposer (“Licensee”) shall be the award document resulting from this RFP. The License Agreement shall be subject to approval by City of Tampa’s City Council, and will address, as applicable but not be limited to: (1) the terms and scope of the License Premises; (2) mutually agreed upon timelines for obtaining the necessary governmental approvals for construction/modifications of the License Premises and for the completion of such construction/modifications (if any); (3) rent and/or other forms of consideration and any conditions pertaining to the license of the License Premises from the City to the Licensee; and (4) if required or if volunteered by the Licensee, contractual assurances regarding compliance with the City’s Equal Business Opportunity (“EBO”) and Apprenticeship Programs set forth in the City’s Code of Ordinances, Chapter 26.5 (linked here: https://library.municode.com/fl/tampa/codes/code_of_ordinances?nodeId=COOR_CH26.5EQBUOPPR) in connection with the design and construction of the License Premises (if any).
