KING COVE TO COLD BAY ROAD - DESIGN / BUILD

Construction of an approximately 18.9 mile single-lane gravel roadway including 13.3 miles of new construction through disturbed and undisturbed lands and 5.6 miles of construction along existing roads and trails to connect the communities of King Cove and Cold Bay. Work includes earthwork, embankment construction, aggregate surfacing, drainage features, fish passage and stream crossings, erosion and sediment control, signage, a steel girder bridge, and associated appurtenances. The first phase of this project will be advertised as: King Cove to Cold Bay (Stage 1): Kinzarof Lagoon Access Road. This will be a Design Build project for approximately 3 miles of new roadway including: bridge, drainage improvements, turnouts, parking, turnaround, and trailhead facilities. This is expected to be advertised under Project No. SFHWY00765.
