Request for Bids Bids are being accepted by West Basin Municipal Water District (West Basin) for Construction Services for the Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility Fire Protection System Improvements Project. The ECLWRF Fire Protection System Improvements Project aims to replace the existing proprietary fire alarm and suppression system with a non-proprietary (Silent Knight) system. The purpose of this replacement is to ensure continued safety at the ECLWRF, to minimize system deficiencies, and to streamline future maintenance and resolution of deficiencies. The scope of work includes the following: Fire Alarm Control Panel W/ SLC Expander (Qty. 1) Remote Fire Alarm Annunciator (Qty. 7) Fire Alarm Terminal Cabinet (Qty. 2) Fire Alarm Power Supply (Qty. 2) Manual Pull Station - Addressable (Qty. 41) Area Smoke Detector - Addressable/Photo (Qty. 53) Area Heat Detector - Addressable/Photo (Qty. 47) Duct Smoke Detector - Addressable (Qty. 17) Fire Alarm Relay Control Module (Qty. 1) Fire Alarm Monitor Module (Qty. 6) Fire Alarm Horn/Strobe - Weatherproof/Wall (Qty. 2) Fire Alarm Horn - Weatherproof/Wall (Qty. 5) Fire Alarm Horn/Strobe - Wall (Qty. 19) Fire Alarm Horn/Strobe - Ceiling (Qty. 3) Fire Alarm Strobe - Wall (Qty. 48) Fire Alarm Strobe - Ceiling (Qty. 6) Audible/Visual Sync Module (Qty. 9) Sprinkler Riser Waterflow Detector (Qty. 2) Sprinkler Riser Tamper Switch (Qty. 2) Sprinkler Riser Post Indicator Valve (Qty. 1) The existing conduit and wire is to remain and be used for new panels/devices. New installations requiring entirely new conduit and wire include (1) FAAP in the reception area of the Visitor Center and the new dedicated circuits noted throughout the drawings. The construction phase is anticipated to begin in June 2025 and finish in September 2025.
