Description
This project will be an improvement and beautification of the University Blvd Beach Approach and Vehicular Ramp. This project will consist of improvements to the sidewalk, roadway, parking, shower facilities, landscape and irrigation along the University Blvd Beach Approach east of A1A. The traffic pattern and island will be changed to better accommodate traffic flow and visibility of pedestrian traffic. Improvements to the infrastructure on this project will enhance public access by adding several additional parking spaces, improving the existing parking spaces and adding 1 designated Handicapped parking space. Sidewalk improvements will allow safe pedestrian access to the beach by keeping pedestrians off the vehicular ramp's traffic lanes. Native landscaping and an irrigation system will add to the beautification of the approach.
