The U.S. Air Force is seeking information from industry on capabilities to develop a B–52 Advanced Wing Weapons Pylon (AWWP). This RFI is for market research purposes to identify potential providers capable of designing, developing, testing, and manufacturing a replacement or modified pylon that meets advanced performance requirements.The specific technical requirements and carriage loadouts are provided in the attached “RFI_AWWP_20May26.pdf“.Key capability areas include:Weight Capacity:Carriage of munitions up to 20,000 lbs.Integration: MIL–STD–1760E and existing B–52 system compatibility.Certification: Dual conventional and nuclear certification capability.Engineering: Digital engineering, airworthiness certification, and aerospace production expertise.Responses to this RFI will be used to assess industry capabilities and refine the government`s acquisition strategy for this critical modernization effort.
