Learning Disabilities Evaluation - Spanish Speaking

Napa County Health and Human Services Agency (NCHHSA), Self Sufficiency Services (SSS), seeks the services of qualified professionals to provide Spanish Speaking learning disability evaluation and case planning for referred clients of the NCHHSA-SSS Employment Services Division. Self Sufficiency Services is the division of NCHHSA responsible for administering the California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) Welfare-to-Work (WTW) program. The intent of the WTW program is to provide employment and training services to all adult recipients of CalWORKs. As a requirement of the CalWORKs WTW program, Employment Services Workers offer all CalWORKs participants learning disabilities screening. Per California Department of Social Services Manual of Eligibility and Assistance Standards, hereinafter referred to as “EAS,” section 42-722.46, qualified professionals must be trained, qualified learning disabilities evaluation professionals who use recognized and validated learning disabilities evaluation tools to identify learning disabilities and to determine the appropriate accommodations for individuals with learning disabilities. Learning disabilities evaluation professionals with whom the county may contract include, but are not limited to, qualified individuals from the following sources: Professional private/corporate contractors or providers; Trained and qualified staff at community/state colleges or universities; Trained and qualified staff from community-based organizations that serve individuals with learning disabilities; Trained and qualified staff from adult educational facilities; or Staff from the Department of Rehabilitation.
