Welcome to West Lebanon Sign

The City of Lebanon Recreation Arts & Parks Department invites and encourages you to submit a proposal to design and build a new Welcome to West Lebanon Sign on Bridge Street in West Lebanon NH. Artists are encouraged to select materials and design components that are reflective of West Lebanon, the region, or the State of New Hampshire. Located by the corner of Bridge Street and Transfer Station Dr. in West Lebanon (indicated in orange on the map attached ), the available space for the new sign is 10’ x 10’ on relatively flat ground. The City will prepare the foundation with 18” of crushed gravel for a sign base. Electricity is also available on site, provided by the City. Designs should include the supporting structure, sign design that includes “Welcome to West Lebanon” on one side, and “Bridge Street Park” on the other side. The final product should be oriented to be visible for Bridge Street vehicle and pedestrian traffic, ruggedly designed to withstand all 4 seasons and the roadside environment, and illuminated after dark. Installations are expected to remain in place for the life of the sculpture, at least twenty years, and will be owned by the City. Proposals must include design, labor and materials costs. Total anticipated budget should be at or below $15,000 (excluding City portion of site preparation).
