The City of Chesapeake is seeking information on what might be available in the market for Employee Personal Safety Devices. These devices should be designed to be worn by City staff that work alone and can provide for duress notification and monitoring for employees working alone in potentially hazardous scenarios. Examples include Public Utilities staff reading meters, working in pump stations; Human Services that serve as Case Workers and are required to conduct in-home visits with patients; and Behavioral Health staff that work after hours or transport patients.
