23C2 Walk-In Freezer at Governor Thomas Johnson Middle School

General work description: The intent of this solicitation is to establish a contract with a qualified contractor(s) to furnish all labor, supervision, materials, and any incidentals necessary for one (1) walk-in freezer and two (2) cooler boxes for a complete and finished project for Frederick County Public Schools. The qualified contractor will also furnish labor and parts for the warranty life of the cooler and cooler boxes. The original as-built kitchen drawings (Exhibit A) are attached indicating the location and dimensions of the existing cooler and freezer box. Frederick County Public Schools does not guarantee accuracy of these drawings, and as such, the bidders will be responsible for verifying existing field conditions. The area where the new walk-in freezer and the new cooler boxes are needed will be available in the school for bidders to inspect during the pre-bid meeting. Also, attached is a specification for a current Kolpak unit (Exhibit B) that is similar to the existing equipment. Please note that the attached specification of the Kolpak equipment does not include a contained floor as part of the equipment. Equipment provided, and installed under this bid must include contained flooring. FCPS has removed the existing boxes and the area is available for the bidder’s review before submitting the replacement cost.
