Description

The City is currently in the process of reinvigorating its downtown business district and is identifying locations for public gathering and entertainment. The first such location identified are two vacant lots owned by The Urbana Free Library but under control by the City. The two lots are located at the northwest and southwest corners of the Green and Race Streets (see attached map). The North Lot located at 202 W Green St. will serve as the entertainment location where a live entertainment facility will be located. The successful bidder (“Contractor”) will have the experience, knowledge and capacity through its personnel and/or sub-contractors to provide design and construction services (including all labor and materials). Under a design-build contract, the Contractor will be responsible for design, permitting and installation. The following are the services required: The Contractor will meet with City officials to discuss the projects goals, milestones and expectations. The Contractor will prepare plans/schematics, submit to the City for approval, and obtain all necessary permit(s). The Contractor will procure all materials and install the electric service per the approved plans. Once the electric service installation is completed, the Contractor will make available for final inspection by the City. The Contractor provides any necessary training for the operation and maintenance of the completed project. The Contractor provides any necessary warranty and maintenance services for the completed project.
