Project: Project Title RFQ#: Project ID The City of Charlottesville requests a quote for the work described in the “Project Description” section provided below. Project Manager: Contact Full Name Contact Phone Contact Email All work described herein and in the Related Documents is included as part of this solicitation unless otherwise specified. The scope of services generally includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: Project Description: Removal and replacement of nineteen (19) existing water source heat pumps units. New units have been purchased by the City of Charlottesville. A new hose kit has been purchased by the City of Charlottesville for each unit. New units and hose kits are currently stored at the City Yard Warehouse located at: 325, 4th Street NW, Charlottesville, VA 22903. Contractor is responsible for transport of new units from the City Yard Warehouse to the Project Work Area. Contractor shall install new units as per manufactures design and instructions. Please see attached documents. Contractor is responsible for all modifications as required including unit leveling, hose kit installation, condenser water piping, condensate water piping, line voltage wiring, building automation system (BAS) wiring and programming. New units have been furnished with combination disconnect switch/fuse/receptacle. Contractor shall provide and install additional items as required for line voltage electrical connections to be mounted in new separate enclosure to be mounted to floor or wall and connected to exterior of unit. Please see attached photo of wiring example. BAS un-wiring and re-wiring shall be coordinated with Air Conditioning Equipment Sales (ACES). Contractor is responsible for Water Source Heat Pump Loop shutdown and draining where needed with minor assistance from Facilities Maintenance personnel. Contractor is responsible for removing air from the Water Source Heat Pump Loop with minor assistance from Facilities Maintenance personnel. Contractor shall preform unit startup and checkout under the supervision of Facilities Maintenance personnel. Contractor is responsible for returning Water Source Heat Pump Loop chemical treatment to appropriate conditions at project completion. This shall be coordinated with Complete Care of Virginia. Contractor is responsible for removal and proper disposal of all demolished units, trash and debris from the Project Work Area and property.
