CONTRACTOR OPERATED PARTS STORE

City of Tampa / LAM - Fleet

Description

The City of Tampa (“City”) is seeking to outsource the supply and distribution of vehicle and equipment parts and services required to support the City’s Logistics & Asset Management Department/Fleet Maintenance Division. During quarter one (1) of FY2024, the Fleet Maintenance Division (“FMD”) began decentralizing from two (2) outdated sites to five (5) new, state-of the-art fleet maintenance facilities. The City expects the selected Successful Proposer to appropriately manage the inventory for the various sites at the fleet maintenance facility stockrooms resulting in greater stock availability, lower administrative overhead, and greater fleet efficiency. Currently, the City spends approximately $8 million annually with the current Contractor, Management Consulting Inc. (Mancon). Mancon manages approximately $1.5 million of stocked parts inventory for the City.
