The Intent of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the County of Loudoun, Virginia (County) to obtain the services of a qualified General Contractor (Contractor) to construct the Shellhorn Road (Route 643) formerly known as Sterling Boulevard (Route 846) Extension Project from Moran Road (Route 643) to Pacific Boulevard (Route 1036). The Project is a Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Locally Administered Project (LAP) located within the Sterling Election District, Loudoun County, Virginia (the Project).The Project is approximately 4,750 linear feet along the new Shellhorn Road, approximately 840 linear feet along Moran Road, and approximately 1,300 linear feet along Relocation Drive. The improvements will consist of two (2) eastbound and two (2) westbound lanes; associated turn lanes at intersections; raised median; bike lanes; sidewalk along the westbound lanes; and seven (7) property access entrances to connect to the new roadway.
