Virtual Orton Gillingham Services - Special Education Department

The Jersey City Public School District’s Special Education Department is seeking proposals from an outside agency to provide Virtual Orton Gillingham based literacy services for students who are in the misted of the NJTSS/ Response to Intervention process and are deemed “at risk” and those who currently have Individualized Educational Plans [I.E.P.]. These services are to be conducted by a teacher who must be Orton Gillingham Certified as well as possess a New Jersey teaching certification as approved by the state. The District is the second largest school district in the State of New Jersey and comprises forty-one schools. This district has historically hired full time personnel to provide this service but due to the demands for services additional personnel will be required.
