CC 26-003 Tutoring Services

Bridgeton Public Schools is seeking a company to provide tutoring services that will be provided to address accelerated learning as it pertains to addressing learning gaps. The district seeks for the tutors to assist in creating a positive impact for students in grades K through 12 as we work toward learning recovery and to regain ground in the new school year. The consultant/company must be able to provide qualified, college degreed (BA/BS minimum) tutors who are able to assist students in person as well as online virtually. All in person tutors must meet the NJ standards regarding child abuse/background clearances. Additional requirements of the consultant/company shall include: • In person tutoring to follow the school calendar and schedules. • Support students via online with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research, daily assignments and other academic tasks. • Minimum needs up to 50 tutors for the district. • Work with students to help them understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom. • Provide students with positive and constructive feedback, identify areas of improvements and help set goals of exam preparation. Qualifications and skills of the tutors shall include: • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain Challenging concepts; provide instructions and deliver feedback. • Thorough knowledge of a specific academic subject. • Previous experience in the academic subject in which they will assist students. • Ability to motivate and encourage students to improve their academic performance using effective goals setting strategies. • Creativity and flexibility in order to personalize their learning approach for individual students. • Professionalism is a must.
