Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations, Maintenance, and Networking Services

This RFP/Q is seeking proposals for the sale, maintenance and networking of level 2 and 3 Electric Vehicle (EV) Chargers. Installation and commissioning of the chargers from the stub out is optional. The City’s immediate charger requirements are for seven dual-port Level 2 charging stations. The City is also in the design process with SCE at two additional locations that include a 150 kW fast charger and level two chargers. Those projects may or may not proceed. Thus, the RFP/Q also seeks proposals for the optional future purchase of both Level 2 and Level 3 fast chargers and installations for a period of three (3)years. Proposers can apply for Level 2, Level 3, or both categories. Future purchases, if they occur, will likely include a mix of public and fleet only EV Chargers. The City anticipates purchasing and owning the charging stations, and future purchases may include fleet only chargers. Proposers can propose alternate ownership models. Please note that for the fleet chargers the city prefers to pay the actual cost of electricity and may incorporate solar and battery storage programs enabling emergency operations during power outages.
