Description
The City of Urbana is seeking statements of qualifications (SOQ’s) from professional engineering firms for preliminary engineering (Phase I planning and Phase II design) for improvements of 0.8 mile of Lincoln Avenue from Wascher Drive to Killarney Street. This project includes a road diet retrofit from four lanes to three lanes, construction of a shared use path or installation of on-street bike lanes, pavement rehabilitation, replacement of existing traffic signals, installation of mid-block pedestrian crossings, sidewalk construction and reconstruction, construction of bus stop turnouts, replacement of existing streetlights, and planting of street trees. Preliminary engineering will be funded with Federal Surface Transportation Block Grant Program (STBGP) funds.
