The City of Seattle is seeking Proposals for USDOT SMART Rainier Valley Safe Traffic Control Equipment, to be submitted through the Procurement Portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/seattle , no later than Response Submission Time on Response Submission Date . The traffic signal equipment procured in this RFP are to be implemented as part of a USDOT-funded Strengthening Mobility and Revolutionizing Transportation (SMART) project, Rainier Valley Safe: Technology Investments to Improve Community Safety. The SMART project is leveraging smart sensing infrastructure and upgraded traffic signals to address safety at at-grade light rail crossings and multimodal efficiency at signalized intersections in the Rainier Valley.
