City of Stuart SE Lonita Street Drainage Improvement Project

The project is in the City of Stuart, Florida (Latitude 27° 11’ 14.92”N, Longitude 80° 15’ 4.51”W) in the City of Stuart Poppleton Creek drainage basin. Stormwater runoff from a developed urban residential area currently discharges directly to Poppleton Creek with a CDS Baffle Box as treatment. This project proposes to construct stormwater infrastructure to treat runoff from a 15.04-acre drainage basin consisting of medium density residential development prior to discharge. The project will remove nutrients and sediment and provide stormwater retention and is important for the City of Stuart to continue progress towards meeting BMAP requirements for the St. Lucie River.
