Description
The existing Good Luck Community Center is a 10,300 square-foot, 1.5-story building originally constructed in 1971, with a gymnasium addition in 1972. The reception area was added to the front of the building front at an unknown date; and the most recent renovation occurred in 1990 and included the weight room, kitchen, bathrooms, and parking area expansion. The facility is located at 8601 Good Luck Road, Lanham, MD 20706, in Prince George’s County. The facility lot size is 10.14 acres. The work is to design and construct a minimum 25,000 s.f. new replacement facility that will expand the services currently being provided to the community. The new facility will be a trailblazer in sustainable facility design for M-NCPPC, considering the collective goals, developing a creative and forward-thinking design that meets the indoor and outdoor programming needs.
