Description
Greenville County operates a Food Waste Composting Facility located at 11075 Augusta Road. To broaden our impact and increase accessibility, we are expanding food waste composting options to our Residential Waste and Recycling Centers (RW&RC). This project will establish a collection system at each participating RW&RC, featuring food waste recycling containers that are convenient and accessible for residents, situated alongside our current recycling containers. Initially, this program will roll out at three RW&RC locations, with plans to extend the service to all six centers over time. Our RW&RCs are staffed and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
