NW DIXIE HWY. DITCH IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

The project generally will entail regrading the NW Dixie Highway ditch to restore permitted drainage elevations of 0.50 NAVD. In addition, the existing 24” culvert that conveys ditch drainage from north to south under NW Fern Street will be replaced with a new 30” culvert at invert 0.50’ NAVD, to restore permitted drainage elevations. Work will also include rip-rap installation at culvert locations within the ditch, removal of an FDOT weir upstream of the ditch, removal and replacement of the NW Australian Street outfall structure, and modification of two outflow structures on the south end of Dixie Highway, helping to alleviate upstream flooding issues in the Riverside Park neighborhood.
