  "summary": "<p>The City of Palm Desert (&ldquo;City&rdquo;) is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced firms (&ldquo;Proposers&rdquo;) to provide comprehensive janitorial services for multiple City-owned facilities for City Facilities Janitorial Services (&ldquo;Services&rdquo;) to establish a three year Maintenance Services Agreement (\"Agreement\") with an option to extend for two additional one-year periods.</p><p>To serve and promote the welfare of its residents, the City intends to procure the Services, as described herein. The selected contractor will be responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary environments in accordance with City standards and the requirements set forth in this Request for Proposals (\"RFP\").</p><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Scope of Services</span></p><p data-end=\"874\" data-start=\"808\">Services vary by facility and and include, but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Office areas and conference rooms</li><li>Restrooms and locker/shower facilities</li><li data-end=\"999\" data-start=\"958\">Break rooms, kitchens, and coffee areas</li><li data-end=\"1048\" data-start=\"1002\">Lobbies, council chambers, and public spaces</li><li data-end=\"1077\" data-start=\"1051\">Janitorial storage areas</li><li data-end=\"1112\" data-start=\"1080\">Trash and recycling enclosures</li><li data-end=\"1151\" data-start=\"1113\"><p data-end=\"1151\" data-start=\"1115\">Exterior common areas as specified</p></li></ul><p data-end=\"1309\" data-start=\"1153\">Services shall be performed on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules, as detailed in the<strong> </strong>attached Frequency Schedule and Scope document labeled \"Exhibit A\".</p><p>Janitorial services are required for the following City facilities:</p><ul><li data-end=\"1430\" data-start=\"1407\">Palm Desert City Hall</li><li data-end=\"1461\" data-start=\"1433\">Henderson Community Center</li><li data-end=\"1482\" data-start=\"1464\">Corporation Yard (1)</li><li data-end=\"1482\" data-start=\"1464\">Corporation Yard (2)</li><li data-end=\"1511\" data-start=\"1485\">Portola Community Center</li><li data-end=\"1530\" data-start=\"1514\">State Building</li><li data-end=\"1552\" data-start=\"1533\">Palm Desert Entrepreneurial Resource Center (ERC)</li><li data-end=\"1587\" data-start=\"1555\">Palm Desert Sheriff Substation</li><li data-end=\"1611\" data-start=\"1590\">Palm Desert Library</li><li data-end=\"1647\" data-start=\"1612\"><p data-end=\"1647\" data-start=\"1614\">Palm Desert Aquatic Center (PDAC)</p></li></ul><p data-end=\"2136\" data-start=\"1917\">Service days and hours vary by facility and are specified in Exhibit A. Contractors must be able to perform services within the required service windows and maintain consistent staffing throughout the contract term.</p><p data-end=\"2202\" data-start=\"2172\">The successful Proposer shall:</p><ul><li data-end=\"2279\" data-start=\"2205\">Provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, and cleaning materials</li><li data-end=\"2370\" data-start=\"2282\">Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations</li><li data-end=\"2446\" data-start=\"2373\">Possess and maintain all required permits, licenses, and certifications</li><li data-end=\"2527\" data-start=\"2449\">Assume responsibility and liability for the proper use of cleaning chemicals</li><li data-end=\"2617\" data-start=\"2528\"><p data-end=\"2617\" data-start=\"2530\">Hold a current City of Palm Desert Business License at the time of contract award</p></li></ul><p>Alternatively, the City is requesting an alternate bid for daily Park Restroom cleaning as well as cleaning of 3 park concession stands twice a year. Details are listed in the Scope of Services Section.</p>",
