The City of Beaverton invites a written response to this Request for Information (“RFI”) from qualified and experienced consultants to conduct a comprehensive gap analysis on knowledge and capacity, aiming to ensure a sense of belonging and connectedness for immigrants, refugees, and other communities facing inequities in the City of Beaverton. The initiative aligns with our commitment to promoting diversity, inclusivity, and cultural exchange within the community. This serves as a request only for informational purposes. This Request for Information (RFI) is intended for informational and planning purposes only, and it does not oblige the City to enter into a contract for any services. Currently, the City is not actively soliciting detailed proposals containing specific pricing and terms and conditions. However, the City may reach out to selected consultant(s) for further details as specified below. OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE OF WORK : The primary objectives of this project are to gain a thorough understanding of existing gaps in knowledge and capacity that may hinder the sense of belonging and connectedness for diverse and multicultural communities in Beaverton. The scope of work includes: 1. Evaluation of Existing Resources: Assess available resources in Beaverton for immigrants, refugees, and communities facing inequities. 2. Needs Assessment through Community Engagement: Conduct a comprehensive needs assessment through community engagement to identify specific challenges and opportunities for enhancing belonging and connectedness. 3. Examination of Resource Navigation Difficulties: Explore and analyze difficulties in navigating existing resources and services, focusing on potential barriers the target communities face. 4. Review of Availability and Affordability of Community Spaces: Evaluate the availability and affordability of community spaces that promote inclusivity and cultural exchange. 5. Comparative Study of Successful Models: Conduct a comparative study of successful models from other regions that have effectively addressed similar challenges. 6. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including community leaders, organizations, and government agencies, to gather insights and perspectives. PROJECT TIMELINE : The anticipated timeline for the completion of the gap analysis is approximately 6-9 months.
