Description

Construction of a new multimodal six-lane bridge over I-5 between the intersections of 196 th Street SW (State Route 524) & Poplar Way and 33rd Avenue W & Alderwood Mall Boulevard. The bridge will provide multimodal travel with a sidewalk (west side) and shared use path (east side). The two intersections will be modified to meet the profile and width of the new bridge, and a tunnel (three-sided concrete box structure) will be constructed to allow the Interurban Trail to pass beneath the new bridge. Widening and restriping of portions of Poplar Way, 196th Street SW, Alderwood Mall Boulevard, 33rd Avenue W, and Alderwood Mall Parkway are also included.
