Description
Bridgeton Public School District has recognized the need for support in executing a high-quality mentoring program for students at the Bridgeton High School. Bridgeton High School currently serves nearly 1,500 students from various backgrounds and skill levels. As students are in need of academic achievement, Bridgeton Public Schools are seeking proposals from qualified respondents to provide additional experience which will ensure student success in a well-rounded manner. The district requests the following services: The consultant shall provide small group sessions with high school students during lunch periods and/or through the alternate Twilight School program to support personal growth and life skills as it pertains to academic success. The consultant shall include a curriculum or topics relative to Bridgeton High School that will be utilized along with a timeline for completion of goals for no less than seven months (possible start date October through tentative May). This curriculum and/or topics should include topics, strategies and skills pertinent to students in the Southern New Jersey Cumberland County area. The consultant shall assist students in establishing individual goals as prescribed by an approved curriculum and/or topics as created by the consultant. The consultant shall provide opportunities for students to experience one-on-one mentoring sessions when requested. The consultant shall include ways in which the organization documents and reports information revealed during a session which may be detrimental to the student or the school community . The consultant shall create documentation and report quarterly progress to track mentee development. The consultant shall connect students to resources for mental health and/or well-being support when needed. The consultant shall encourage community service and leadership opportunities including but not limited to college and/or career readiness. Be advised that all staff assigned to the Bridgeton High School Mentoring Program shall have criminal background checks prior to working with district students. The following information must be submitted to the district prior to the start of mentoring: Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) and Child Abuse Record Information (CARI). The chosen consultant shall uphold all NJDOE and BPS district policies as they pertain to the scope of work. MINIMUM SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS All respondents shall prepare a Request for Proposal (RFP) package which shall include at a minimum the following requirements: Names and resumes of individuals who will perform required tasks along with their background regarding their ability to perform scope of work. Identify the person who will be primarily responsible for the services required by the Board of Education and provide a description of their experience. The description shall include projects related to issues similar to those specifically outlined in this RFP. Consultants shall have a minimum of three (3) years’ documented experience providing mentoring services to K-12 public school districts. Respondents shall include success stories and/or data to support their documented experience. Listing of all Board of Education clients for each of the last three (3) years. The firm should demonstrate prior experience with school districts of comparable size. Include an all-inclusive cost proposal and submit all required documents. Supplies, materials, and incentives required for the program shall be included in the proposal price. The district shall not be responsible for any services or supplies not included in the provider’s proposal. Listing of curriculum topics and timeline of completion. Description of how the consultant will report achievements and progress. Any additional information which would distinguish the consultant in its service to the district.
