RFP 8193-0-2020/MS Urban Design & Planning Services

The City of Norfolk (the “City”), Virginia, Department of City Planning is seeking qualified firms to provide urban design and planning services for various potential projects throughout the City, which may include: • Urban design and design assistance for public and private buildings and projects • Planning assistance for small area planning efforts, topical planning or revitalization • Streetscapes for existing urban streets or proposed new transportation facilities • Urban parks, plazas, promenades, and open spaces • Urban forestry and landscape design • Ecological and water drainage design in conformance with federal, state and local requirements • Urban recreational facilities • Urban design guidelines • Pattern books for small areas, general character districts or specific projects • Public engagement focused on design and planning • Overall project coordination and/or facilitation for large-scale development opportunities
