Description
This project involves the construction of up to 6,700LF of 2-inch and up to 7,600LF of 6-inch water mains within established residential neighborhoods, including 12 new fire hydrants and 220 new 1" services. Existing service to customers shall be preserved until the individual new mains are cleared for use. Project is split into Base Bid priority improvement area plus 5 nearby areas which will be constructed if sufficient funding is available. The basis of design is open trench lay with restoration. Trenchless installation may be allowed in certain areas at no change in the lineal foot unit cost, pending approval of appropriate pipe, fittings, and construction process by Engineer of Record.
