CENTER SPRINGS PARK NATIVE AMERICAN MURAL PROJECT

'Project Description The Town of Manchester, CT seeks proposal for a public art mural project in Center Springs: Local and area artists are invited to submit a proposal for this exciting opportunity to provide a large-scale work of art encompass the Bigelow Brook Convert at Center Springs Pond, 39 Lodge Dr. The Center Springs Pond was once a large fishing ground for Podunk Indians, the Department of Leisure plans to erect a healing circle, Project Nawapon, that will attract residents to come together and converse, provide a safe place for mental, physical and spiritual healing whilst providing fun and interactive that provides cultural and spiritual imagery and knowledge of the Native Americans that lived in the New England area. The mural is a way where the Town of Manchester can pay homage, respect and history through a beautiful and captivating painting from artists.
