Audio Visual (AV) Design, Installation and Implementation Services

Chesapeake Public Schools, including the School Board (hereafter known as the District), seeks proposals from qualified, licensed, and insured contractors to provide audiovisual (AV) design, installation, and implementation services on an ongoing and as-needed basis to multiple contractors. Services may include but are not limited to design, installation, configuration, and integration of new audiovisual systems. In some instances, the District may require a portion but not all of the services described herein. Thus, the scope of work for future projects will be coordinated with the awarded contractor at the time of request. The District intends to order additional equipment and services specified in this RFP at the negotiated contracted prices for any facility under its jurisdiction throughout the contract term. The Contractor(s) will be responsible for providing all equipment, installation, manpower, accessories, and materials in accordance with these specifications to provide complete and satisfactory operating systems. The Contractors shall use materials and equipment of types, sizes, ratings, and performances that comply with referenced standards and manufacturers’ standard design and construction in accordance with published product information. The Contractors shall coordinate all materials and equipment features to form an integrated system, with components and interconnections matched for optimum performance. The Contractors shall include all engineering, material, freight, labor, project management, testing, training, and warranty services in their proposal. The final scope of work will involve coordination between the District and the Contractor(s) based on their proposal, final contract negotiations, and final contract. The District intends to select the Contractors based on the best value, most functionality, greatest reliability, and the Contractors' ability to successfully execute a contract of this size and scope, including support, warranty work, and ongoing maintenance.
