FY 26-002 Painting Service

General work description: Bridgeton Public Schools is accepting bids from qualified Contractors to perform Painting Service at four schools within the district. There is no construction involved in this scope of work. Painting Service is part of the definition of public works and is subject to prevailing wage law P.L. 2022, c.113. Services provided under the contract award shall be at the following schools in Bridgeton, NJ: Buckshutem Road School – 550 Buckshutem Road West Ave School – 51 West Ave Quarter Mile Lane School – 300 Quarter Mile Lane Indian Ave School – 399 Indian Ave Projects There are three projects that need to be completed in the District. Project 1: Buckshutem Road hallways and door frames A, B, C, & D. Project 2: West Ave first and second floor hallways and door frames, stairwells (2). Project 3: Quarter Mile Lane first, second, and third hallways and door frames. Bottom floor hallway and door frames. Project 4: Indian Ave hallways and door frames A, B, C, D, & E. Scope of Work All walls will need to be sanded with orbital pole sander All door frames will need to be sanded and prepped All walls should be spackled and door frames caulked as needed All walls should be primed with Sherwin Williams Extreme Bond Primer and top coated with two coats of Sherwin Williams Scuff Tuff Sherwin Williams 7029 Agreeable Gray or Equivalent All door frames should be primed with Sherwin Williams Extreme Bond Primer and top coated with either Sherwin Williams Scuff Tuff or Sherwin Williams Pre Cat Epoxy latex or Equivalent (Sherwin Williams custom match color code can be provided) All labor, material, and equipment necessary to complete job must be provided by contractor Clean up of dust is required Work is to start in June 2025 and must be completed by August 2025. A site visit is required for this project. All work must be completed by August 30, 2025 The Bridgeton Board of Education reserves the right to award the contract by project or by Lump Sum for all Projects depending on what is more advantageous for the district.
