In-Vehicle Mobile Audio and Video (MAV) Recording

This is a request for information and is being released to survey the market for in-car Mobile Audio Video (MAV) recording, for use in police vehicles. These systems are used to record video of both common events--such as traffic stops--as well as critical incidents--such as pursuits, uses of force, etc. These systems are critical tools for both reviewing officer performance (in the vein of "game tapes" for sports) and for preservation of objective evidence after incidents. Newer systems also allow for investigative tools with license plate recognition, AI search tools, and real-time viewing. Having a next-generation system is critical for modern policing and for protecting the residents of the City of Pasadena.
