Mental Health - Culturally Specific

Washington County is requesting proposals from qualified organizations to provide Culturally Specific Mental Health Treatment Services to indigent residents of Washington County. Adults and youth qualifying for this service will generally be in crisis or receiving short term solution focused therapy and case management services. Culturally Specific mental health treatment services are targeted to offer culturally and linguistically appropriate services to communities of color, and immigrants and refugees generally provided by individuals of similar cultural background as the client and in their primary language. Treatment services may include therapy, case management, and must include the capacity to provide medication management. Services to uninsured and low-income and youth and adult Washington County residents are supported through State General Funds. Contractors of this service must have adequate billing structure and support services to ensure accuracy of insurance and assisting in connecting to insurance. Contracts awarded through this process will begin July 1, 2021 and will be renewed annually through June 30, 2026, with contracts contingent on the availability of funds, continued need for the service relative to other community needs, and contract performance and compliance. Funds available for contracting in any given year may also change due to State Legislative action, funding priorities, or other system changes and will be finalized during the annual contract renewal process. Up to five awards will be made through this RFP process.
