SCOPE OF WORK: WEGO PUBLIC TRANSIT requires radio dispatched, HEAVY DUTY 24 HOUR 7 DAY TOWING SERVICE. The minimum equipment is required to provide DAMAGE FREE TOWING. 4. WEGO PUBLIC TRANSIT TOWING REQUIREMENTS • Class A Wrecker – 54K tandem and up. • Class B Wrecker – 33K to 54K Single Axle • Class C Wrecker – 1 Ton to 33K, Light • Rollback, Lowboy, Tow Bars, Adapters, Under-lifts and Dollies 4.1 WEGO PUBLIC TRANSIT FLEET: 40 Foot Buses – 136 • 61 – Gillig Low Floor (Diesel) • 75 – Gillig Low Floor (Hybrid Diesel/Electric) 45 Buses • 10 – MCI D4000 Coach Electric Buses • 2 - 35 Foot Buses ELECTRIC buses Articulated Buses • 42 – New Flyer 60’ o 19 Clean Diesel o 23 Diesel / Hybrid Ford E-450 Chassis / Chevrolet 4500 Chassis Cutaway • 5 - Chevrolet 4500 Chassis Cutaway • 86 – Ford F450 Chassis Cutaway • Service Vehicles – 68 cars, trucks and vans 4.2 QUANTITIES: Quantities stated are estimates only and no guarantees are given or implied as to quantities that will be used during the contract period. 4.3 SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS AND NOTES: Note: All WEGO PUBLIC TRANSIT buses maximum height (ground to roof peak is 11’ 10”). 4.4 VENDOR SERVICE TRUCKS: Vendor Service Trucks shall be equipped and staffed to properly service all types of units owned and operated by WEGO PUBLIC TRANSIT. The vendor shall be responsible for the provisions of adequate and proper safety precautions for both the vendor’s employee and all persons in or around the work area to include while in transit to and from locations as required. 4.5 DAMAGE: Any damages incurred during hook-up, loading or un-loading, transport of vehicles, buses or equipment will be the sole responsibility of the vendor. 4.6 VENDOR RESPONSIBILITY: It will be the sole responsibility of the vendor to load, secure, transport and unload said WEGO PUBLIC TRANSIT vehicles at the requested locations and destinations as WEGO PUBLIC TRANSIT requests. At no time shall WEGO PUBLIC TRANSIT employees either load or unload vehicles or equipment for the contract vendor.
