On-Call Towing Services

The Vehicle and Equipment Services division of the County of San Mateo's Department of Public Works provides motorpool services and vehicle and equipment procurement, maintenance, repair, registration, resale, and fueling services to County departments. Vehicle and Equipment Services is seeking proposals for on-call towing services to support our fleet of approximately 1,200 County vehicles and equipment. The selected firm should be able provide rapid response, towing, roadside assistance, and recovery services for all of the various vehicle and equipment types in our fleet, ranging from light to heavy duty vehicles, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The target start of the contract term is July 2024, with an initial term of three (3) years and two (2) options to extend by one (1) year each. Vehicle and Equipment Services is now requesting proposals from qualified tow truck services through June 28, 2024. This Request for Proposal ("RFP") is open to all qualified service providers.
