Description
The City of Surprise Parks & Recreation Department is a CAPRA (Commission for Accreditation of Parks and Recreation Agencies) accredited agency. The Department is responsible for recreational programming, signature and community special events, recreational facility operations, and ground maintenance of city parks. Recreation programming includes aquatics, youth and adult sports, racquet and paddle sports, preschool programs, youth camps, special interest classes, teen programs and adaptive programs. Department staff are primarily located in the Parks & Recreation Administrative office, the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex, Aquatics facilities, Recreation Centers, and the Parks Maintenance Yard.
