Software Asset Management Solution

The Information Technology Shared Technical Services team wants to procure a Software Asset Management tool (SAM). This tool will allow us to better track our software assets, enabling us to effectively manage license availability and track license usage. This is critical for reporting and enables us to stay in compliance, avoiding costly issues that occur when RTD is out of compliance on our software licenses. A Software Asset Management tool will allow the district to provide accurate, real-time data on software installations and software cloud subscription usage. A SAM tool is necessary to control risk of audit, manage the complexity of software licensing, and gain control over software asset costs by determining our Effective License Positions (ELP) on our most critical software publishers.
