RFI 21-02 Wildland Fire Line Packs

The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District (Metro Fire or the District) is seeking information from manufacturers and vendors (Proposers) of Wildland Fire Line Backpacks (Packs). This is a request for information only and is not a commitment to purchase goods. To be eligible for consideration, Packs shall possess all of the following minimum features/specifications: Load bearing harness Case to hold a New Generation Fire Shelter Space to carry a minimum 2.0 liter hydration reservoir Minimum of 150 cubic inches of storage space for personal equipment. This space shall be separate from the space required to carry the above mentioned hydration reservoir. Ability to add additional pouches (ie: radio, hose clamp, etc) All proposed Packs shall be certified as being compliant with the current edition of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1977 standards.
