Wildland Type Six (6) Fire Engine

General work description: The Santa Cruz Fire Department is purchasing a Type 6 Wildland Engine. This will be used for off-road firefighting and rescue situations where a smaller profile all-terrain vehicle is needed. The apparatus (vehicle) will be on a F-550 chassis or equivalent and have the following: four wheel drive, an auxiliary fire pump, capacity to hold 300 gallons of water, foam system and higher clearance for off-road driving. The apparatus will have a crew cab with 4 doors and have a diesel engine. This apparatus shall comply with all NFPA and DOT standards for firefighting apparatus. There shall be enclosed compartments for tool storage and hose loads. The apparatus will need to be delivered within 18 months of the awarded bid. The apparatus shall have all components as specified in the Preliminary Scope of Work (Vehicle Requirements) section.
