Police and Fire Joint Operations Facility

General work description: It is the Town of Queen Creek’s intent to enter into a preconstruction services and construction services contract with a qualified construction manager/general contractor to renovate and convert an existing, recently acquired, Barney Sports Complex building into a joint-use, operations facility for Queen Creek Police (QCPD) and Queen Creek Fire & Medical (QCFMD) Departments. The existing property is located at 22050 E Queen Creek Rd, Queen Creek, AZ 85142, on the corner of Queen Creek Road and 220 th Street, and spans approximately 11 acres. One (1) main building structure, one (1) cell tower and supporting small structure and four (4) retention basins currently occupy the property. The Town is currently under contract with Arrington Watkins Architects for design of this project and has started conceptual design for the building, therefore the successful CMAR Contractor will be working with Arrington Watkins Architects to design and construct this facility. A comprehensive, feasibility study of the property was completed in November 2022 to determine the viability of the property and existing facility to ensure all of the programming needs of QCPD and QCFMD could be accommodated.
