Sacramento River West North Levee - Environmental Phase I

The West Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency (WSAFCA) invites qualified, interested firms to submit a proposal for environmental consulting services for the Sacramento River West North Levee (SRWNL) project. The SRWNL extends for approximately 5.8 miles along the west bank of the Sacramento River from the Sacramento Bypass South Levee to the Stone Locks east gate/closure structure. This Request for Proposal (RFP) describes the SRWNL background, scope of services, submittal instructions, schedule, and selection criteria. The WSAFCA flood program includes the planning, design, and construction of single objective flood risk reduction projects as well as development and implementation of multi-objective projects that incorporate ecosystem enhancement and increased recreational opportunities along with the primary objective of reducing flood risk. These flood projects are generally developed and implemented in close partnership with other local, State, and Federal agencies. Environmental consulting services are needed to support WSAFCA with conducting an Area-Wide Corridor Assessment along the West Bank of the Sacramento River in West Sacramento. The corridor is presently defined by the footprint in the West Sacramento Project General Re-Evaluation Report as the Sacramento River North West Levee SRWNL.
