Recycling of Waste Containing Mercury

City of Tucson / EGSD

Description

The City of Tucson, hereinafter referred to as “City” or “COT”, wishes to establish an annual requirements contract for the collection, transportation, recycling and/or disposal of waste containing mercury. It is the City’s expectation that as much waste as possible be reused or recycled with disposal being the last option. Also, deep well injection shall be prohibited. It is expected that the City’s needs can be met by one offeror. However, the City may award to multiple offerors for the required services if it is in the best interests of the City. Historically, each City department that generates or collects waste containing mercury has provided for its removal and recycling individually. The resulting contract(s) will allow for those services to be coordinated city-wide.
