Sheriff's Office Strategic Planning

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) serves the second most populated county in Oregon. It provides county-wide poilcing services with a workforce of 640 full-time staff. WCSO is the primary law enforcement service provider in unincorporated Washington County. WCSO also provides countywide services that benefit all residents such as emergency response teams, forensics and crime scene experts, detectives, alarm permits, civil process, concealed handgun licenses, and many others. WCSO also operates the only jail in the county. The WCSO is comprised of four primary organizational units; Patrol, Investigations, Jail, and Services. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is seeking consulting services for strategic planning. The current strategic plan was developed in 2020; many social and economic changes have occurred since the plan was revised. The Sheriff’s Office is seeking a consultant to support future planning efforts in developing feasible and actionable goals and objectives for both a near term (2-years) and a medium term (3 to 10 years).
